Resident Engineer

Sam Schwartz Engineering (SSE) is a 60-person, multi-disciplinary engineering and planning firm.  SSE specializes in developing context-sensitive transportation solutions for small to large scale urban and suburban projects, regionally, nationally and abroad.  The SSE team identifies traffic impacts and provides creative, multi-modal solutions that balance the needs of all users, including drivers, pedestrians and cyclists.



SSE is looking to add a talented Resident P.E. to our growing staff.  We require 10 years of extensive and diverse experience with NYS/NYCDOT and/or NYCDC relating to construction projects.  Resident Engineering experience with sidewalk construction projects is a plus.



You will be expected to contribute to a team environment and provide experience and leadership where required.  You must be able to perform Resident Engineering duties for NYCDDC reconstruction projects, administer the construction contract, work cooperatively with the construction contractors, direct SSE field personnel professionally and work as a liaison between all parties involved.
