We currently have an opening in Ft. Lee for a Resident Inspector. This position is expected to be 40 hours per week with occasional overtime but on a temporary basis. Project is expected to last approximately 7-8 months with opportunity for permanent employment.


Responsibilities:
Take pre-construction photos of the project site prior to initiation of construction activities and take additional photos through the projectMaintain contact with project design team to facilitate review and response of contract related issuesOversee and monitor contractor’s activities in regard to site layout, delivery of materials, and general compliance with approved shop drawings and sound construction practicesEnsure contractor’s activities adhere to established safety policiesAttend project meetings and draft meeting minutesEvaluate need for construction modifications and forward to design teamPerform quantity take-offs and estimates for change proposalsMaintain field records Monitor and review monthly schedule submittalsMaintain records of payment quantities incorporated into workMaintain up-to-date marked-up set of project drawings 
Requirements:
Familiarity with pipeline installation and rehabilitation Requires an Associates Degree and 3+ years related experience or 7+ years of related experience with no degree. Basic computer skills including word and excel are a must, Prolog a plus
