Retired Engineer Needed Part-Time To Work From Home!

Belcan Tech Services Division is currently recruiting for a registered Mechanical Professional Engineer (P.E.) for a local government construction contractor located in Gaithersburg, MD.

This is a Part Time position ideal for a moonlighter or retired engineer who would like to earn some extra money!!!

Our client would like to fill this position ASAP!!!

Project: Renovations at Department of Commerce, Hoover Building in Washington, DC

Duration: Long Term (multi year) with flexibility of work hours in the evening/weekends via your computer.

Scope: Our client is the responsible for the management review of electrical, mechanical, civil, structural and fire protection drawings prepared by other engineering firms to ensure sound engineering practices and regulatory compliance with associated codes.

On occasion you would be notified when you would be required to visit the construction site.

Salary: $60-80/hr DOE $$$

Requirements:

*Registered Professional Engineer

*Minimum B.S. Degree in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical Engineering or related field

*Minimum 10 years experience in Construction Management/Building Plans Review/Project Management

*Minimum 8 years Federal Government Building Construction Experience in new construction and or renovations (GSA contracts experience preferred)

*Required experience in reviewing HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection system drawings of large buildings

*This is a public trust position and will require a background check
