SCADA Service Technician

We are seeking a Technical Service Specialist (TSS 2) to provide electrical controls and instrumentation support to Woodard & Curran customers. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge and experience in PLC ladder programming for hardware such as Allen-Bradley, GE Fanuc and Modicon. Knowledge and experience in panel assembly techniques and panel wiring, as well as experience in reading electrical and controls drawings as required. Also required is advanced knowledge and experience in communications methods such as Radio, Ethernet, Wireless Ethernet and the ability to trouble-shoot these devices. The candidate will be expected to have advanced knowledge and experience with analog and digital circuits with the ability to troubleshoot to a device level. In order to be effective in this role, knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives and soft start operation and wiring methods is a must. Knowledge of hardwired relay logic and the ability to troubleshoot circuits with or without drawings and documentation is expected. In addition, knowledge of electrical wiring practices, and the ability to repair basic electrical components are required. Advanced knowledge and experience with HMI software such as RS View or iFix with the ability to configure and troubleshoot drivers, databases and edit graphics screens are required. This position will be based out of our Northern New England offices. - 5 years minimum as a Control Systems Programmer or Technician with demonstrated competence in all roles and responsibilities - A.S. degree or equivalent experience - Competence with Excel, Word, Access and XL Reporter, as well as advanced knowledge of computers and their operating systems - Installing hardware and software - Operating system security - Upgrade and installation of SCADA node operating systems - Knowledge and experience with instrumentation commonly used in industrial, water and wastewater - Ability to travel extensively in the New England area is required Woodard & Curran is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
