The Security Project Consutlant participates in small to large size projects. Specific responsibilities include understanding and compliance in the application of CH2M HILL’s Project Delivery System to achieve the following project delivery strategic objectives: health, safety, environmental responsibility; client expectations for quality, schedule, and budget; financial performance for project specific targets; project team expectations; operational performance and business unit expectations; and quality. Specific duties include planning, staffing, scheduling, budget management, quality control, safety, and coordination of subcontractors and internal technical and support staff. Is a participant in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling, and performance. Additionally, is responsible for the identification of schedule and cost variances and the development and implementation of recommendations for corrective action for negative variances. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Supervision of work of assigned engineers, inspector technicians.- Project manager on simpler or small projects and technical studies.- Acts as Assistant project manager on jobs of medium size and complexity.- Broad responsibility with clients, manufacturers, and public.- Receives instructions on objectives, points of emphasis, references, and possiblesolutions.ATTRIBUTES- Knowledge and Skills: Requires independent evaluation, selection, and application ofstandard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Using judgment andingenuity in making minor adaptations and modifications.
