Seeking Professional Structural Civil Engineer

Western Engineering & Research Corporation (WERC) has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Civil/ Structural Engineer to join its forensic engineering team.  For the right candidate, this position includes a potential leadership role in the company.  Candidates should be experienced with analysis of concrete, wood and steel structures, and have knowledge of codes and common standards.  At Western Engineering you will be involved with diverse and challenging projects that encompass site investigations, analysis, design, report writing, and expert testimony.  The work will be primarily in Colorado; however, some 1 to 2 day nationwide trips should be expected. 

 

Requirements

Successful candidates will have a BS, MS or PhD; and be licensed (PE or SE).  They will have a minimum of 5 years and preferably 10 years experience in the industry.  Work will include accessing all areas of structures for field examination.  Candidates must have the ability to conduct multiple projects, supervise staff engineers and be solution driven.  Professional or technical activities in engineering organizations are a plus.  Applicants should possess advanced analytical skills; excellent writing and communication skills and be able to communicate highly technical information to lay people.
