The successful candidate will provide high quality seismic processing and depth imaging to better understand exploration and development opportunities for Chevron Business partners worldwide. Qualifications:KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:• Analysis of 3D seismic to identify problems to best design parameters / workflows to address noise attenuation, seismic attribute analysis and depth imaging.• Application of Chevron’s proprietary workflows including 3D multiple attenuation and pre-stack depth migration.• Testing and deployment of new R&D initiatives from Chevron’s imaging research staff into production workflows.• Understanding of the Chevron Business partner needs both in terms of exploration / development earth sciences and the business drivers.• Cross functional team communication including Chevron Business partners, Technology Services Teams, Technical Computing and Research and Development.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:In order to be considered for this job, applicants must have:• Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer.• A minimum of 3 years of experience with UNIX/LINUX.• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for customer and technical team interaction.• Ability to work in a cross functional team environment located in a number of locations around the globe.• A Master's Degree in Geophysics, Physics, Geology, or related earth science discipline.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:• Experience with Landmark’s ProMAX processing system• Experience with an exploration / development prospect maturation team• Experience with 3D pre-stack multiple attenuation and depth imaging This is a safety sensitive position.NOTE: Resumes submitted in response to this job opening may be reviewed and processed for Chevron by independent service partners.
