Senior Controls Engineer - Semi Conductor Equipment

Responsibilities:

- Work as a member of the SIOG Equipment team to design, procure, and install required  process equipment.  Act as the team SME with regards to Semiconductor Industry Controls

design standards, insure that both custom and purchased equipment complies with Semiconductor Standards for modularity and interoperability.  Architect and develop new

custom equipment, and work closely with vendors to purchase equipment. 

 

Specifically, this role will include the following responsibilities:

- Understand the design and operation of process equipment, take ownership of the Controls

portions of these systems

- Work with outside vendors to design new equipment, insuring Semiconductor Industry

Standards compliance

- Develop new specialized equipment and methods to support the SIOG project

- Act as a mentor to allow other engineers to become capable of designing equipment to

Semiconductor Industry Specifications

 

Depending on specific project assignments, responsibilities may include:

- Act as receiver for new equipment; work with vendors during install/checkout/qualification

phases of projects

- Write new equipment specifications in accordance with Industry Spec’s

(www.semi.org/standards)

- Work with vendors/oem’s to insure standards compliance

- Work as a member of the equipment build team to map out an overall equipment strategy

and roadmap for development/deployment

- Explore equipment needs, generate selection criteria, evaluation and comparison reports,

and make recommendations

- Participate in long range equipment and facility planning

Education and Experience:

One of the following:

- B.S. and minimum of 5 years in a technical field, science, or engineering (process,

equipment, or product development, engineering, or research)

- M.S. and minimum of 2 years in technical field, science, or engineering (process, equipment,

or product development, engineering, or research)

- Ph.D. in science or engineering

- Prior Controls Design experience in the Semiconductor Industry building equipment to

Semiconductor Standards
