Senior Engineer, Manufacturing, Lean and Electrical

A Successful $Multi-Billion Dollar Manufacturing Company, has Three openings for Skilled Engineers: 1. Electrical Engineer, 3.Mechanical-Manufacturing Engineer and 3. Lean-Quality Engineer!1. The first opening is a Plant Electrical Engineer: This Electrical Engineer will be in charge of all manufacturing plant Electrical Engineering projects including updating, troubleshooting, programming and installing of Allen Bradley PLCs (RS Logix and SLCs).  Significant experience working with controls is desired as well as a knowledge of working in a Lean Manufacturing environement, leading and participating on cross-functional teams, working closely with maintenance, capital equipment projects and production equipment upgrades and troubleshooting.  This facility has injection molding and automated assembly.2. The second opening is a Manufacturing Engineer: This Manufacturing Engineer will be in charge of the process of making a ceramic product controlled by AB PLCs.  The chosen candidate will need experience understanding the out-put from the PLCs and using this information to make corrections, changes, improvements to the manufacturing process.  Experience in Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement is required for this role as well.

 

3.  The thired opening is for a Lean/Quality Engineer:  This Engineer will be the lead Lean/Quality Engineer for the plant, 70% of the role is lean implementation and lean project leading, 30% of the role is product quality focused.  The chosen candidate must have 2 years of Lean Manufacturing Experience, Six Sigma is a plus, and Quality Engineering skills such as complaint resolution, FMEA, product quality, quality systems, CAPA, etc.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Must have a BS in ME, EE (a must for EE position) or Ceramics Engineering or similar Strong experience in both sustaining and improving processes multiple processes Strong equipment experience with PLCs, both troubleshooting and programming. Allen Bradley PLCs, RSLogix, 5, 500, 5000 The EE must have 5 or more years of EE experience in a manufacturing environment including project engineering, capital equipment, production improvements and PLC programming. The Manufacturing-Process engineer must have 3-5 years manufacturing experience in a lean and “hands on” environment and Significant successes in process improvement, Proficient problem solving to include DOE and/or 6 sigma, Strong in the use of SPC and/or other statistical controls, and/or Minitab or equivalent statistical software within a mechanical or manufacturing process area.

  The Lean-Quality Engineer must have 2 or more years of Lean Manufacturing leadership within a process/business unit or plant, including leading Kaizen Events, 5s implementation, cellular manufacturing and experience supporting product quality or working in a quality engineering role.

 

 

Other HIGHLY DESIRABLE Skills

 

  Experience in injection molding or thermal processes including Kiln operations Experience in AutoCad Lean background and experience…Kaizen, Poke-Yoke, 5S, Kan Ban, etc. Capital Equipment procurement is a plus
