TCB, a Texas-based engineering firm with major practice areas in natural resources planning, transportation planning and design, public works, infrastructure, and land design is currently seeking talented individuals. Established in 1946, TCB employs 1000 staff members and maintains offices throughout Texas, Colorado, California and Nevada. TCB is part of the AECOM family of companies providing engineering, architectural, and program management services in the transportation, facilities, and environmental markets. AECOM has a global reach in the combined efforts of over 30,000 employees, working in over 60 countries. AECOM was named as the No. 1 “Pure” Design firm in the United States, according to annual market rankings released this week by industry trade publication Engineering News-Record (ENR). THIS POSITION WILL BE BASED IN LIBYA.The Senior Engineer - Water receives functional and project direction from the Project Manager Infrastructure. Typical Duties and Responsibilities Provides technical support to HIB elements as requested or directed. Assignment will involve close working relations with HIB personnel with the objective of providing training and mentoring. Conducts reviews of Request for Proposal documentation for adequate inclusion of sufficient basic Civil design requirements. Reviews conceptual Water (transmission, storage, pumping and distribution) design elements and other contractor submittals for compliance with accepted codes/standards/accepted practices, standardization goals, and quality program requirements. Also provides support to the Regional Project Managers on request. Solves many technical issues independently. Makes recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have an important impact on engineering activities. Initiates and maintains extensive contacts with key engineers of the HIB housing organization as well as other organizations and companies. Such interactions require skill in persuasion and often negotiation of critical issues.  Responsibilities for Direction of Others Often serves as expert technical advisor/trainer.Education PhD plus 3 - 5 years or MS plus 5 - 8 years or BS plus 7 - 10 years Experience and Qualifications  Needs to have knowledge of nationally and internationally recognized Water related computer codes and applications plus extensive knowledge of standard Water engineering practices, techniques, and procedures along with broad knowledge of precedents in the Water area along with good knowledge of the practices of related disciplines. Needs familiarity with standard design deliverables such as drawings, specifications, and material requisitions. Good written skills are important. Position Title Senior Engineer – Water Registration Status PE
