Senior Financial Analyst

Join ATK in this Senior Financial Analyst role, and you will join an outstanding team of people whoare leading the integration of our newest group, and its associated divisions! This is an excellent opportunity to join our financial leadership team in a role that will consolidate reports from multiple financial systems that are in bothexisting ATK systems, and legacy systems from a recent acquisition. The successful candidate will serve as a financial analyst to help pull data together from independent systems, and merge those into one financial picture for a newly created group.You will also create data for presentation at operations reviews, as well as provide analyses that will drive business decisions.To be successful, you must have strong excel skills, government contractor experience, the ability to work with data in a variety of formats, and you must be articulate and ready to interface with senior management.This position reports to the group VP of Finance, and provides significant opportunity for interaction with group and divisional leaders!This position will be located at our newest office in Reston, VA.Key Responsibilities: · Lead the monthly financial estimating / reporting process (Monthly Operations Analysis) for the new Space Systems group. o Coordinate monthly reporting of actual versus forecast for remainder of the year for executive review at management and corporate levels. o Reviews include Orders, Sales, EBIT, Cash Flow as well as other operational information. o Analyze financial results / forecasts for accuracy, completeness, trends, reasonableness, etc. o Significant interaction with group financial leadership as well as with corporate financial reporting organization · Group level cost control. o Provide cost control support for group staff operating budgets.Includes monthly analysis and updating forecasts. o Interact with group level executive staff to manage and understand costs. · Quarterly financial reporting / reviews. o Coordinate group level executive review of quarterly program Estimate-at-Complete (EACs) updates. o Coordinate group level support to corporate financial reporting to meet external reporting requirements.Includes analysis of financial results in comparison to prior periods, quarterly questionnaires / dialogue with external auditors, etc.?? o Monitor and evaluate group level controls / Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.Coordinate group wide Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. ??? · Annual planning process o Provide guidance and support during annual financial planning process. o Includes establishing group level reviews, building appropriate planning templates, coordination of allocations, etc. · Government Accounting o Update and maintain group level Disclosure Statement. o Prepare and submit bid rate data for group level indirect cost for review and approval by DCAA.Support in DCAA audit. o Prepare and submit historical indirect cost rate data for DCAA audit.Support in DCAA audit. · Special projects as required. o Opportunity for significant involvement in the integration of the MDA acquisition. o Assist in process improvement initiatives / internal control disciplines across the group, including ATK implementation of Business Performance Management (BPM) system. o Resource for group finance personnel on various reporting / forecasting matters, as appropriate.ATK has the people, strategy, agility, and products to thrive in a highly dynamic national security and space environment.
