Senior HVAC Design Engineer

A nationally recognized architectural engineering firm is seeking a direct hire for a Senior HVAC Design Engineer.



The candidate should be a Licensed Professional Engineer or be in the process of obtaining licensure and have experience designing HVAC systems, conducting plan review, and managing the overall project  for the HVAC building systems. Experience with HVAC systems for hospitals, higher education, and life science facilities are desired.



This position is located in Chicago, IL with travel to client locations within the US.



Requirements
 

*  Licensed Professional Engineer or in process of licensure
*  7-10+ years experience in the design and project management of mechanical building systems including HVAC, fire protection, and environmental experience
*  Full cycle experience with managing HVAC portion of large capital projects
*  Proficiency with AutoCAD, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project scheduling software
*  RFP and cost estimating experience
*  Excellent communication, both written and spoken
*  Ability to relate well to all levels
*  LEED certification a plus
