Senior Hardware Design Engineer

Job responsibilities include: -- Designs, modifies and manages all stages of a product's lifecycle, from concept through maintenance of the product and end of life decisions -- Ensures products meet design, reliability, and quality requirements based on industry standards through analysis, simulation and measurements -- Understands design optimization for reliability is priority -- Performs with a demonstrated focus on low cost for high volume production -- Promotes investigation and application of new technologies and industry trends to product management and development activitiesQualifications: BS in Electrical Engineering required or equivalent5+ years of actual design experience in the following: 1) Analog electronic circuit design and test 2) Circuit simulation experience (Spice, or similar) Exposure to: 1) Firmware/embedded logic (C code) development 2) Digital circuit design and testExperience not required but noted as a plus includes: 1) Design metering experience, specifically understanding metrology as it relates to electricity metering 2) Involvement in electronic board development from conception to production 3) Understanding of manufacturing constraints to a given design 4) Strong attention to detail 5) Team collaboration and good problem-solving
