Senior Industrial Engineer


The Senior Industrial Engineer is responsible for using technical and lean manufacturing tools to complete a variety of plant wide continuous improvement projects including manufacturing re-layout.

 

Continuous improvement projects include studies of existing conditions such as methods, equipment, and material flow to identify areas for improvement with an eye toward quality, safety, cycle- time and expense reduction. 

 

Project management of capital improvement project responsibilities include providing project definition, capital and expense estimates and project schedules; ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget; providing floor layouts that are efficient for production and for performing validations.  Must have the ability to use and understand statistical based software and quality tools such as process mapping for warranting process changes and improvements.  This position also provides support of new product introduction into product lines. 

 

Ideal candidates will have experience in several of the following areas:

·  Instituting lean manufacturing methodologies

·  Designing and implementing manufacturing solutions for the medical device industry working under FDA regulation

·  Skills in DOE, FMEA, risk analysis and validations

·  Ability to carry out complex engineering calculations and analysis

·  Ability to lead teams through complex projects


Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and a minimum of five years related experience is required.
