Senior Instrument Engineer
Senior Instrument Engineer
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Instrumentation Engineer to join a team focused on the development of BioScale’s proprietary MEMS biosensor technology. The successful candidate will work with a team of engineers and scientists to productize a MEMS-based biosensor platform.
Responsibilities:
Development and transfer to manufacturing of a MEMS-based bioinstrument platform.Design and development of subsystems and systems. Design for reliability and manufacturing with respect to cost targetsSystem verification and transfer to manufacturing. Requirements, specifications and testing plan development. Project management and design documentation. Participate in planning and reviews.Pilot instrument and consumable builds; development of procedures and documentation for instrumentation, consumables and protocols. Qualification of vendors for materials as well as finished parts and assemblies.
Requirements:
M.S. or B.S. in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or related disciplines and 10 years of commercial experience with biomedical devices or bioinstruments is required.Experience with development under a quality system and transition of instrumentation to manufacturing. Analytical and practical with proven technical problem solving ability and task execution. Can work in a team, has leadership qualities, can manage complex development projects.
