This individual must be innovative, career-minded, flexible and adaptable, honor commitments, demonstrate integrity and ethics, and show abilities to embrace change, accept challenges, seek input, follow up and follow through.This individual will work with a multi-functional, multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers, and must be an expert in designing and engineering in 3D CAD, as well as comfortable in brainstorming and problem-solving issues in commercial medical/non-medical product designs through a rigorous research and disciplined development from conceptualization to productization for emerging markets. RESPONSIBILITIES·         Design, engineer and develop 3D CAD models/surfaces, create drawings of mechanisms, parts and assemblies, and prepare manufacturing process instructions and bills of material·         Working independently or as a part of a team to brainstorm, conceptualize, and problem-solve mechanical engineering and design issues under aggressive project budgets and schedules·         Plan and track budgets for research and product development projects/programs, and lead projects·         Perform engineering and tolerance stack-up analysis of parts and assemblies·         Work with vendors to procure components, and assemble, test and trouble-shoot mechanisms and prototype devices for on-time delivery·         Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues about product concepts, design issues and solutions REQUIREMENTS ·         B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. MSME preferred·         10+ years R&D experience in products, preferably 3 years medical device experience·         3D CAD experience in designing products, using SolidWorks modeling/surfacing program ·         Experience in designing parts for low and high volume manufacturing processes·         Proven track record of meeting aggressive schedules and deadlines·         Must be hands-on in documenting, prototyping and testing products·         Demonstrated ability to build and lead a project team·         Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, and technical leadership skills COMPENSATION
