Position Description:

In this position, you will be the modification responsible engineer. You will work with our client's modification project team to develop and implement the MRP-139 structural weld overlay and mechanical stress improvement process modifications to the pressurizer and RCS branch line nozzle safe-ends.You will have a variety of interesting responsibilities, including the development of the design change packages and 50.59s and review of vendor weld overlay design drawings and component stress reports and analyses. Modification implementation support activities will include engineering review of the installatin contractor traveler packages and work orders, field support and problem resolution, functional release for testing and in-service release to operations.This position is located at the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station outside of Phoeniz, AZ.

Qualifications:

BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering along with a least 5 years of engineering experience working on nuclear power plant modification projects.Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required along with strong computer proficiency.This position requires the successful completion of a background investigation, including a check of criminal records for nuclear plant access.
