Senior Mechanical Manufacturing/Design Engineer

10-15 plus years in Manufacturing environment preferred.  Must be able to work in an environment that is strongly dedicated to team efforts and cross-functional groups.  Experience will be in PCV/Polymer extrusion processes and equipment experience and understanding required in the following areas:

 

Extrusion screws, dies (tooling) and processing for sheet and profile

Vertical roll stand, roll development and processing

Chiller/water bath design (thermodynamics of polymeric materials)

Steel rule die cutting equipment

Shear cutting equipment

 

Material granulators for recycling extruded waste and re-feed

 

Robotic material handling equipment and gravity conveyors

 

Good understanding of polymer materials and their physical properties in manufacturing

 

Batch mixing and pneumatic pellet feed systems

 

Strong control logic background with the ability to write out a logic process for a PLC programmer

 

Understanding of HMI interface and its functioning

 

Statistical process control and results implementation in manufacturing

 

Design of and implementation of industrial time studies, pareto charts and histograms

 

Prepare project timelines and execute them (project scopes range from $15k to $2 million)

 

Able to run multiple projects simutaneously

 

AutoCad Inventor version 6.0 or above

MS Excel, MS Word, MS Visio, MS Office, MS Project
