Senior Microwave RF Engineer

Shively Labs has an immediate opening for a senior Microwave/RF, design and development engineer.  This position is responsible for designing, developing, implementing and testing high-power RF systems and antennas for use in FM broadcasting applications.  In addition to working closely with the Shively sales staff, this position will include directing a team of skilled technicians as well as extensive hands-on involvement throughout the development process.

 

Considerable knowledge and first hand experience in the development of passive microwave/RF devices (filters, resonators, power dividers, hybrids) including high-powered antennas is required.  Engineering experience with RF circuit design and fabrication processes is also required.  10 years of relevant experience is essential and a minimum MS in electrical engineering is preferred.

As a senior employee in a small, employee owned company, this position requires that the employee have an aptitude for managing and dealing with the varied problems and opportunities of a small company.  The employee will not only be expected to work with the Sales Staff to identify new opportunities and develop new products, but will also be responsible for supporting Manufacturing with problems and routine production testing.  The employee will deal directly with customers on a regular basis and some travel for trade shows and sales support is required.  The employee must have the ability to work in a collaborative management environment, be a self-starter, and be able to set and fulfill priorities in a changing environment.
