Job DescriptionTechnical Sales: Robotics and Machine Automation Products

My client designs and manufactures servo motors, control electronics and software for robotic machinery. Systems are used in the semiconductor, medical and light machine tool industries.Customers include Intel, Siemens Medical Solutions, Motorola and Texas Instruments.

As a Senior OEM Account Manager you will sell machine control products to OEM companies that make automated machinery in high volume. These machines can be anything from semiconductor wafer sorters to virtual-reality, full-motion video games. You will work on relatively few, but large, opportunities each year.
Salary: $90,000 to $135,000+ per year, depending on experience

RequirementsBS degree in engineering, or other four-year degree if you have strong quantitative skills5+ years of successful technical sales experience (industry experience is not required, training is provided)Ability to sell effectively to senior executives as well as to engineering personnelAbility to identify potential prospects, qualify them effectively, and turn them into satisfied customersAbility to develop prospects from identified, but undeveloped, target accountsStrong analytical skills and desire to do engineering-oriented activities in addition to sales activitiesWillingness to travel the U.S. approximately 20-30% (typically a two to four day trip every three or four weeks)Excellent oral and written communication skillsStrong PC software skills (especially Microsoft Excel)
