Senior Principal Engineer-Electrical (BW383)
At Fay, Spofford & Thorndike, Inc. (FST), we are engineers, planners, and scientists in the classic tradition. Since 1914, we have responded to the challenges of our clients' needs. FST has an opening in our Burlington, Massachusetts office for the following:
SENIOR PRINCIPAL ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL)
Responsible for water and wastewater projects. Will develop drawings, perform calculations, write specifications, estimate construction costs, review shop drawings and perform field investigations and inspections. Must be able to interface with clients, develop proposals and technical reports, and direct other engineers and drafting staff to perform work. Additionally, this candidate must be able to manage projects, perform invoicing and track accounts.
Must have BSEE, a PE and a minimum of fifteen years experience. Must have good computer skills including word-processing and spreadsheet software. Ability to develop drawings in AutoCAD desirable. In addition, a background of working on 15kV 5kV and 480V distribution systems (including sizing electrical engine-generators and designing lighting, receptacle, fire alarm, security and communication systems) preferred.
