Senior Process Engineers: Industrial & Biological (Water Treatment)

N. A. Water Systems, LLC, a Division of Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies (VWS) is currently seeking two Senior Process Engineers (Industrial & Biological) to work in our Moon Township, PA office (located near the Pittsburgh International Airport, 15 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh).

 

Full relocation packages are available for applicable selected candidates.

 

Both positions will be responsible for providing technical support to industrial design/build project managers and proposal managers in the development of cost-effective, innovative process designs for Industrial wastewater treatment and Industrial process water production projects. 

 



 

INDUSTRIAL SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER

 

This position requires an individual who is knowledgeable in water and wastewater treatment including; biological, physical/chemical and membrane systems, as well as other treatment processes and can provide leadership in process definition and process conceptualization for treatment of industrial wastewater and production of industrial process water.

 

Other duties include:Development of flow and mass balances;Development of process flow diagrams and P&ID’s;Process equipment sizing/selection;Development of utility requirements for treatment facilities;Preparation of technical reports and equipment specifications;Involvement throughout the project execution;Coordination/review of preliminary/final design documents, proposals and vendor submittals;Assistance in directing process start-up and troubleshooting efforts.



A strong background in the chemistry along with the associated knowledge of the treatment of Industrial process water and wastewater treatment is desired.  Knowledge of facility operations is beneficial, and a willingness to travel is required (10-15%).

BIOLOGICAL SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER

 

This position requires an individual who is knowledgeable in water and wastewater treatment including; with specific knowledge of industrial biological treatment processes, and membrane systems, as well as other treatment processes and can provide leadership in process definition and process conceptualization for treatment of industrial wastewater and production of industrial process water.

 

Other duties include:Provide leadership in process definition and process conceptualization for treatment of industrial wastewater and production of industrial process water;Network with various VWS business units;Evaluate new technologies and technology developments;Development of flow and mass balances;Development of process flow diagrams and P&ID’s;Process equipment sizing/selection;Development of utility requirements for treatment facilities;Preparation of technical reports and equipment specifications;Involvement throughout the project execution;Coordination/review of preliminary/final design documents, proposals and vendor submittals;Maintain involvement throughout project execution;Assistance in directing process start-up and troubleshooting efforts.

Key for this position is:

 A strong background in biological treatment, microbiology and chemistry along with the associated knowledge of the treatment of Industrial process water and wastewater treatment is desired;Knowledge of facility operations; A willingness to travel is required (10-15%);Expertise in process equipment sizing/selection.

Requirements for both positions include a B.S. in Chemical, Civil or Environmental Engineering, and a minimum of 7 years applicable experience.  A Master of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering is preferred.
