Senior Project Engineer - Petroleum and Chemical Process

A leading full service consulting firm in the Atlanta, GA area has an immediate opening for a Senior Project Engineer with at least 7 years experience in managing and in coordinating design projects in the Petroleum and Chemical Process industries. The candidate must have demonstrated experience in managing multi-discipline projects and developing projects from initial concept through completion and start-up. The candidate should have experience coordinating various engineering functions in design and project planning for pumps, piping, utility systems, heat transfer systems, pressure vessels, bulk storage tanks, and process control. A BS in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering is preferred, however, Civil Engineering with appropriate experience will also be considered. A PE License is highly preferred or the ability to readily obtain a PE license. A background in engineering consulting and experience in the petroleum or chemical process industry would be a plus. The candidate should be knowledgeable in flow diagrams, P&ID development, process control systems, equipment structural and foundation design.

This position will need a design background and also will be coordinating projects and will need experience in cost estimating, scheduling, meeting budgets and managing projects. This position will require approximately 20% travel.
