Job Summary: As a senior systems safety & reliability engineer we are looking for a engineering professional with strong background and experienced in system safety and software safety engineering dealing with state of the art, Defense/Aerospace equipment and products. In this role you will be the primary Systems Safety & Reliability engineer performing the following System Safety tasks: -Fault tree analysis (FTA) -Hazards Analyses such as: -Preliminary Hazard List (PHL), Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA) System/Subsystem Hazard Analysis (SHA/SSHA) -Operational and Support Hazard Analysis (O&SHA) -Safety Assessment Reporting -Failure modes, effects and criticality analysis (FMECA) as well as performing FMECAsubstantiation testing -Provide software safety analysisExperience & Education: - Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or Mathematics, Software Engineering. - Be experienced with the safety evaluation of explosive ordinances (i.e., Fuzes, rocket motors, warheads safe and arming devices, lithium batteries). - Provide detailed safety analyses and presenting to government safety review boards. - Knowledgeable with preparing technical inputs for proposals - Possess strong analytical skills and able to solve complex safety issues - Possess strong and effective communication skills with the ability to interface with all disciplines of design and manufacturing - Be a good strong leader possessing initiative and requiring minimal supervision - US Citizenship and secret clearance will be required Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/V/D Company: Alliant Techsystems, Inc.
