Senior Systems / Software Security Analyst (C&A)

Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or related field. CISSP srongly preferred. Nine or more years of experience in network, host, data and/or application security in multiple operating system environments.Experience working with IP networking, networking protocols and understanding of security related technologies including encryption, IPsec, PKI, VPNs, firewalls, proxy services, DNS, electronic mail and access-lists.Experience working with internet, web, application and network security techniques with relevant operating system security (Windows, Solaris, Linux, etc.) Knowledge of leading firewall, network scanning and intrusion detection products and authentication technologies.Experience working with federal regulations related to information security (FISMA, Computer security Act, etc.); NIST Special Publications and C & A process methodology. Experience working with collecting and analyzing system configuration details, writing documents and plans associated with Certification and Accreditation packages per NIST 800-26 and NIST 800-53A standards.Team Lead experience and strong communication skills to communicate with other team members, customers and management and to provide documentation to appropriate personnel; demonstrated ability to lead, work independently and as a part of a team.Knowledge and experience working with both Windows and UNIX servers; ability to perform and interpret vulnerability assessments; ability to administer the operations of a security infrastructure and perform basic system administration functions; ability to execute data collection software for capturing system configuration details.MUST be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident, and able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. Job Description : EG&G Technical Services (a division of URS Corp), in support of the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center, is seeking a Senior Security Analyst to lead a small team to analyze and prepare certification and accreditation (C&A) packages for a variety of agencies. The analyst will join an effort underway, working on C&A packages for both Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and Office of Secretary of Transportation systems.You will perform system test and evaluation (ST&E) activities on a variety of hardware and software systems (Windows and UNIX); Interview end users and collect data that will be critical for the development of certification and accreditation (C&A) packages; Analyze collected data and write C&A documents per NIST 800-26, NIST 800-53A et al. standards, including System Security Plans, Risk Assessment Plans, Privacy Impact Assessments, Plans of Actions and Milestones, Security Test and Evaluation Plans, and Contingency Plans.: : EOE M/F/D/V
