Senior Technical Writer/Documentation Specialist

Description of Work

EWA Government Systems Inc., Montpelier, Vermont, has an immediate full or part-time opening for an experienced Technical Writer / Documentation Specialist to support a variety of technical projects. Typical duties will include preparation of technical documents to include specifications, design documents, test plans, operation and maintenance manuals, drawings, and technical reports. This individual will also work with charts, graphs, maps, posters, slides, technical and non-technical illustrations, displays and similar materials, as well as web-based media. This individual will be responsible for reviewing publications for compliance with customer format requirements and grammatical content.

Qualifications

Minimum education requirement a of Bachelor Degree in a related field or the equivalent with a minimum of 5 years experience in technical publications. The successful applicant will have solid working experience researching, compiling, composing, and publishing technical documentation. Experience with military/DoD documentation standards preferred. Must be proficient in personal computer text and graphics applications such as MS Word, MS Power Point, and Corel Draw. This individual will be expected to work with engineers and technical staff and research available engineering information. Excellent verbal and written communications skills a must.
