A mid-sized, multi-disciplinary engineering firm in Dulles, Virginia is currently searching for a Senior Traffic Engineer.  The firm is in search of an individual with a background in Traffic Engineering and Transportation Design. Ability to execute a wide variety of technical work tasks including traffic engineering, transportation corridor studies, travel demand modeling, micro-simulations, geographical information systems applications, and evacuation route planning is required.

We are interested in only speaking with individuals who have a true Traffic Engineering background.  A Professional Engineering License is required. PTOE Preferred. While a solid background in management is attractive, please do not apply or send resumes if that is all that you have to offer. The ability to complete traffic design and manage traffic design teams is important. 

A Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering is a minimum requirement for this position.  Individuals with five to seven years of experience, in the public or private sector, are most attractive for this position. A PE License is required, PTOE preferred or obtainable within one year of joining the firm.
