We are currently seeking a Senior Transport Engineer for our Tulsa, OK location!

 

 

Job Description:

The Senior Transport Engineer will create network designs and engineering specifications to meet customer requirements and strategic business objectives.

 

Other duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Planning and engineering complex network designs to meet a customer requirements based on forecast, historical trends, product direction, network capacity and utilizationAssisting in development of annual capital budgets and providing insight into future capital spends that may be coming over the next few quartersEvaluating new vendors and technology to reduce network costs and customer solutionsParticipating in new product development efforts, providing subject matter expertise in the technical development of the products and servicesResearching, developing, testing and implementing new technologies and facilitating the technical knowledge transfer between different departments Performing implementation of major network projects to make sure they are complete in time, under budget and minimum customer interruptionPerforming as a Subject Matter Expert in partnership with Network Technicians, Sales Engineers, or Network Engineers to refine and implement solutions based on product and customer needs and requirementsProviding Tier 3, including on-call support for customer problems referred by Network Support and providing in-house technical support and expertise for other departmentsManaging capital budget opened on a project by project basis and work towards meeting the annual capital budget

 



Qualifications:High school diploma required;  4 year degree desirableMinimum of seven (7) years of telecommunications network circuit design and/or fiber optic networks or other comparable networksThorough understanding of the fiber optic network and associated electronicsDemonstrated communications and negotiations skillsDriver's License
