Senior User Interface Developer

SENIOR USER INTERFACE DEVELOPER, Information Services and Technology-Student and Administrative Systems (SAIS), to develop and deploy web sites and web user interfaces in support of MIT's enterprise applications such as HR, finance, and procurement. Will also provide production support to existing applications, assume a leadership role in developing standards and guidelines, and mentor junior-level developers. Will be responsible for turning requirements into prototypes and subsequently into fully functioning user interfaces; providing time/cost estimates; coordinating usability design and testing; launching and maintaining web applications; and communicating effectively with technologists regarding specifications and implementation constraints, and with project owners regarding business goals and mission objectives.

REQUIREMENTS: at least five years of experience developing web applications using HTML/CSS and JavaScript/AJAX; experience with a server side scripting language such as PHP, JSP, or Perl; ability to manage multiple concurrent projects; and strong communications skills. Experience with Java and Struts highly desirable.
