Senior Water Quality Lead

A northwest leader in engineering, planning, and architecture is seeking a senior level person to assist our established Water and Natural Resources Group in the collection and analysis of run-off surface water quality samples. The position involves the expansion of our water quality monitoring capability within our region and consists of writing QAPP documents to respond to TMDLs, NPDES Permits, evaluating SWM BMPs, design and implementation of water quality sampling programs using state and federal protocols, QA/QC, selection and calibration of automatic samplers and analytical equipment, collection and interpretation of data and the writing of reports. This position will involve marketing, development of scopes of work, management and implementation of water quality projects, as well as hiring and supervising supporting staff.

The successful candidate will have 10-15 years of related experience with an academic background in biology, engineering, chemistry, environmental studies, or a combination of these disciplines. Extensive applied experience in the field and well established technical skills including data interpretation, communication, writing, and management are desired.  Prior marketing and program development experience is also helpful.
