Position Description:

Set-Top Box ASIC Design EngineerJob Description: The Conexant Systems Set-top box VLSI engineering team develops complex multimedia SoC ASICs and subsystems for set-top box applications in the satellite, cable, terrestrial, and IP markets. The candidate will be member of a VLSI design and verification team. The responsibilities may involve architecture, RTL design, firmware development, and verification. The designer will create complex designs using Verilog and may construct C simulation environments of the hardware architecture. The candidate will support IP integration, chip level verification, and firmware/software development.

Qualifications:

Minimum Job Requirements:- BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with- On-the-job IC experience (4+ years)- Experience with the entire ASIC design flow including architecture, Verilog RTL design, simulation, synthesis, timing closure, and links to the backend - Knowledge of C or C++ - Some scripting (shell scripts, TCL, PERL, etc)- Good written and oral communication skills- A team player with a “can-do” attitudeExperience in one or more of the below areas is helpful but not required:- MPEG-2 Transport Stream decoding- Video processing or decoding- Security encryption/decryption algorithms (AES, etc)- Embedded firmware development- SoC integration experience
