Software Engineer Level 2 Needed

Apex Systems Inc. of Raleigh is currently seeking a Level 2 SW Engineer.

 

Responsibilities include:

  - Participate in full life-cycle activities of software development process including specification, architecture, design and verification.

- Participate in discussions with customers to determine software product requirements.

- Assist business development team with providing accurate project proposals and risk mitigation of software activity.

- Communicate software concept plans with the development team, the project manager and the customer.

 

Qualifications:

- BS degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (experience in lui of degree)

- 5 years of embedded software design experience

- Development experience using 8-bit and 32-bit microprocessors.

- Demonstrated proficiency with C or C++

- Previous success with hardware-software integration in a lab environment. 

 

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

- Familiarity and use of various operating systems such as Windows CE, Embedded Linux, and VxWorks.

- Understand structured embedded software design and hardware-software integration in a digital lab environment.

- Experience with multiple microprocessor architectures.
