With a Graduate Degree (MS/ME/MBA), 4 years of technical experience with combat vehicle systems. With a Bachelor's Degree (BS/BE/BA), 6 years of technical experience with combat vehicle systems. Position requires demonstrated experience providing technical leadership and expert guidance for software quality assurance activities, including (but not limited to) product evaluation, process monitoring and audits. Experience with or knowledge of software configuration management and independent verification and validation of embedded computer software systems is highly desired. Experience working in a network environment (e.g., MS Windows NT, Outlook, and Lotus Notes) and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is also highly desired.The position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance. Job Description : EG&G is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer for the Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle (EFV) program and the Program Manager - Advanced Amphibious Assault (PM AAA). The selected candidate will be responsible for assessing overall quality of software design for software engineering and integration of vehicle systems, sub systems, and components, and ensuring compliance with vehicle electronics specifications and software development standards. Scope of responsibility includes C4I/Vetronics and other vehicle software. Under the guidance of a Senior Task Leader, responsible for performing technical tasks, accomplishing engineering and analytical assessments, and ensuing the quality and content of technical products, and providing expert decision support. This position requires comprehensively demonstrating an ability to apply expert practices and procedures within the specified area of discipline, provide technical direction to subordinate staff, provide professional findings of technical analysis in the form of reports and presentations, and to execute complex technical tasks. Experience providing scientific and engineering analysis to working groups, and/or Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) within a DoD MDAP program environment is also desired.The selected candidate will provide support from the government Program Office in Woodbridge and also at the EG&G office in Dumfries VA. : : EOE M/F/D/V
