Software Test Engineer (Quality Assurance)

Progressive Gaming International is looking for a motivated Quality Assurance expert to work in a fast paced environment on forward looking and cutting edge gaming systems. We are looking for an experienced engineer to work with our QA team to produce high quality gaming products for our customers. The selected applicant must be a self motivated individual with a willingness to make and keep quality a high priority in our products and processes.

 

DutiesDevelop, implement and maintain quality practices and processes.Perform functional and integration testing of gaming systems and electronics.Perform measurement, longevity and destructive testing of electronic devices.Evaluate and report software, hardware and electronic issues, bugs and variances. Develop and maintain test scripts for the testing of gaming systems and electronics.Assist with planning and maintaining the test lab facilities.Assist with project planning including test estimates.Assist with defining testing objectives.Act as an advisor and assist less experienced members of the quality assurance team.Work with service personnel to address field and customer issues.Assist the compliance department, regulators and third party testing agencies with technical issues as needed.

 Requirements3 – 5 years of software and/or electronics testing experience.Prefer a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or comparable field.Experience with Systems TestingExperience with Windows and/or Linux operating system.Experience with database applications (SQL) and networking.Experience with electronic testing of hardware devices.Must have or be able to obtain a Nevada Gaming card.

Operating Systems:  Windows XP, Server 2003 and/or Red Hat Linux

Applications: Oracle database system and/or Microsoft SQL Server 2005
