Sourcing Specialist

Foth & Van Dyke LLC, a nationally recognized, employee-owned engineering firm, is seeking a Sourcing Specialist for our Upper Midwest Region. 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

¨  Utilize multiple sourcing methods/channels (i.e., networking, cold-calling, complex internet and other research, attending conferences, trades shows and related recruiting events, etc); proactively research and implement innovative sourcing ideas and strategies

¨  Partner with Operating Unit hiring leaders to understand hiring goals for targeted regions; quickly grasp business needs and strategic direction and respond with a sense of urgency

¨  Execute business imperative sourcing efforts, with a critical focus on identifying, attracting, and developing a high quality pipeline of  high level candidates not actively seeking jobs within civil and environmental engineering/scientific disciplines

¨  Establish a network (industry associations, recruiting firms, etc) to generate qualified leads. Differentiate Foth IE within this network, with resulting “first choice” position for high level talent.

¨  Maintain knowledge of the competitive landscape/industry trends, as well as market indicators which affect the recruitment of top talent; recommend actions needed to respond effectively

¨  Monitor effectiveness of sourcing efforts; shift and adjust tactics as appropriate

¨  Take leadership role in employing our employment brand (ensure a positive experience is created for candidates, consistent with our brand)

¨  Develop and maintain  relationships with outside recruiting firms; drive results expected

¨  Demonstrate basic understanding of employment laws and best practices in human resources recruitment processes (including knowledge of OFCCP regulations with respect to applicant tracking and database management)

¨  Screen candidates for availability, interest level, compensation/benefit expectations, relocation needs and basic qualifications.

¨  Display exceptional presentation and influencing/persuasion skills

¨  Present leads and/or pre-qualified candidates to Recruiting Team; collaborate to ensure candidates are properly transitioned to next phase of the recruiting process

¨  Seek ways to continuously enhance and deliver excellent customer service to hiring leaders and candidates

¨  Consistently expand the breadth and depth of resource pool

¨  Leverage developed pipeline to rapidly respond to resource requests

¨  Build and maintain strong relationships with Recruiting Team

¨  Work independently with a high level of professionalism

¨  Take initiative and collaborate effectively in a results-oriented, matrix environment

¨  Travel (including overnight) up to 50%

¨  Possess a high level of motivation and a continuous improvement mentality

¨  Demonstrate exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills

¨  Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

¨  Bachelor’s degree in applicable field and a minimum of ten years direct recruiting/sourcing/search firm experience

¨  Experience executing a variety of innovative strategic sourcing techniques (internet research, industry networking, cold calling, etc.)

¨  Proven track record of network development



 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

¨  Previous experience sourcing candidates for an engineering consulting firm

¨  Established network in the engineering/scientific community
