Space Systems Engineer - #2394

Draper Laboratory is an independent, not-for-profit engineering research and development organization.  Its mission is to serve the national interest in applied research,  engineering development, education and technology transfer.  The core competencies leveraged in Draper's work are guidance, navigation and control for strategic systems;  precision targeting and information management and decision systems; autonomous air, land, sea and space systems;  reliable, fault-tolerant embedded software; and miniature, low-power electronic and mechanical systems. We are located in Cambridge, Ma.

 

Responsibilities The Space Systems Engineer will participate in the design development of complex systems for aerospace vehicles for NASA or DOD.  Experience in development of system concepts, requirements, trade studies, architecture and systems designs is essential.  Formal education in systems engineering is desirable. Responsibilities also include proposal development  and interaction with a diverse customer base.  Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required as is the ability and flexibility to move across diverse application domains. Qualifications MS in an Engineering discipline or equivalent and 3  or more years of relevant space experience.
