Sputter Process Development Engineer

Position Responsibilities:

Initiate and complete projects to improve yields, product variation, productivity and product performance

Reduce costs related to the manufacturing function

Address manufacturing issues and develop effective solutions

Train technicians and operators in the safe and proper use of tools and equipment

Champion sputter process and equipment validation and maintenance

Complete process documentation

Work closely with R & D, Equipment Engineering and Maintenance to optimize production

Comfortable working in teams and independently with limited supervision

 

Education/Experience Requirements:

BS minimum in Materials Science & Engineering or related area of study

Preferred 2+ years experiences

Experience with sputter process

Experience in high-volume manufacturing environment a plus

 

Skill Requirements:

Excellent communicator and team player

Demonstrates leadership

Ability to take and carry out projects and work with limited supervision

Good analytical skills and excellent problem solving ability

Deep understanding on sputter physics and excellent skills on sputter tool operation

Proficient in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Word

Proficient in writing and presentation

Proficient in DOE and statistical analysis application such as JMP a plus
