Sr CAD Technician - Water /Wastewater Engineering Consulting Firm

Pacific Advanced Civil Engineering (PACE) is an Advanced Water Engineering consulting firm.  Specifically, PACE is focused on water resource engineering providing the highest quality advanced engineering solutions for our clients.  To support this effort, we have three specialty divisions; Stormwater, Environmental Water, and Recreational Water.  PACE is seeking a Sr CAD Technician (CADD Tech III) for our Fountain Valley, CA location. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

 Oversee CADD technicians and junior engineers in coordinating the progress of project documents. Responsible for assisting and training other CADD technicians in methods and procedures. Devise new approaches to problems and conducts work requiring research and judgment in the individual selection and adaptation of standard techniques and procedures. Create customized routines, macro, tool buttons, menus and otherwise manipulate AutoCAD in any of its many areas of flexibility in order to make production, creation and handling of documents at PACE more productive. Make modifications in the detailing of a project and know when those modifications require the intervention/inspection of the Project Manager. Work on several ongoing projects and be effective in budgeting time and effort to complete each project in an professional manner, while maintaining communication with the responsible supervisor regarding status updates.

 

Requirements:

 Should be certified in advanced areas of AutoCAD use or equivalent experience.  Should have some understanding of hydraulic, hydrologic, grading, structural and/or other pertinent areas of civil engineering concepts as well as the standard US codes and standards that are in effect regarding those disciplines.5-10 years experience predominantly in water/wastewater engineering Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to be receptive and adaptive to change.  AutoCAD 2008 required, AutoCAD MEP a plus.
