Sr. Electrical Engineer - Oil and Gas

The general scope of work for Electrical Engineers at AMEC Paragon are sizing criteria for electrical power generators, switchgear and motor control centers, preparing low and medium voltage one-line diagrams, preparing specifications for electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchgear, MCC, battery system etc., preparation of Bid documents (RFQ’s), bid analysis, vendor selection and vendor data review, preparing motor control schematics and system wiring diagrams, preparing detail drawings and cable schedules.

Responsibilities
• Working knowledge of US and international electrical codes and standards (API, IEEE, ANSI. NEMA, NFPA, IEC etc.)
• Experience in sizing criteria for electrical power generators, switchgear and motor control centers.
• Experience in preparing low and medium voltage one-line diagrams
• Experience in preparing specifications for electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchgear, MCC, battery system etc.
• Experience in preparation of Bid documents (RFQ’s), bid analysis, vendor selection and vendor data review.
• Experience in preparing motor control schematics and system wiring diagrams
• Experience in preparing detail drawings and cable schedules.

Requirements
BS degree in Electrical Engineering plus 10 years experience is desired. PE registration is a plus. Electrical engineering course work should include electrical power, electrical instrumentation and electrical controls subjects. Some experience in designing power and controls design for oil and gas production, transportation and storage facilities is required.
