Sr. Electronics Engineer (SBInet, Te Group)

Position Description

- Candidate will work closely with project engineers and various subject matter experts (SME) to support the Technical, Operational and Evaluation test requirements for the SBInet components, subsystems and systems in an operational and/or test bed test environment
- Be able to decompose requirements and capabilities and assist SME in research and preparing test materials and conducting a variety of laboratory and field tests for various EO/IR, Radar, Communications, Common Operating System, etc. in accordance with applicable specifications and standards.
- Primary tasks will include preparing and conducting briefings, coordinating test event schedules, and reviewing and commenting on test related documentation.
- Candidate will be required to apply engineering principles to all aspects of testing which includes test planning and setup, test documentation, and data analysis.
- Skills may also be utilized among other test facilities such as EMI/EMC, Environmental and the Antenna Test Facility.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

- Requires Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related discipline with 5 years experience. 15 years experience with a Bachelor degree (not engineering) may also be considered.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
- Must be able to attain a SECRET security clearance and also a TOP SECRET security clearance.

- Desired is a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering.
- Desired is experience with test and evaluation of major systems.
- Desired is working knowledge of EO/IR, Radar, Communications, Common Operating System and systems Architecture is desired.
- Desired is familiarity with RF communications test instrumentation is desired.
- Desired is working experience with Microsoft Office Products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Outlook, Matlab and C/C++ to support test planning, preparing technical plans and reports and brief test concepts and findings.
