Sr. Energy Engineers & Project Managers - Madison, WI

We are currently seeking Senior Engineers and/or Project Managers for our Nexant office located in Madison, Wisconsin. Successful candidates will be responsible for completing on-site energy audits and evaluations, writing technical reports, reviewing energy efficiency projects, conducting energy engineering analyses, and serving as a technical expert for various projects. Additional duties may include maintaining client relationships, developing new business, and overseeing staff. Successful candidates must demonstrate ability to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position. Our clients include public agencies, investor-owned utilities administering ratepayer-funded energy efficiency programs, energy end users, and energy service companies.



Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct on-site energy audits (both scoping- and investment-grade) at medium to large commercial and industrial facilities to identify and quantify energy efficiency improvementsWrite technical reportsMaintain quality control of all deliverable products, demonstrating technical excellence, objectivity, and clarity while maintaining project schedulesProvide advanced technical direction to junior staffMeet with clients to co-manage projects, present results, and develop new scopes of workMeet overall budget and profitability targets Manage up to six full time engineers

Experience and EducationMaster's degree or Ph.D. in mechanical, architectural, electrical, or civil engineering strongly preferred; P.E. strongly preferredMinimum of 5 years experience within the energy efficiency or building efficiency industry Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deliverable deadlines and budgets Excellent writing, interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skillsP.E. is a plusExperience in energy modeling is desirable
