Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities:Plans and designs manufacturing processes in industrial plant.Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.  Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.Confer with design engineers regarding product design and tooling to ensure manufacturabilityWork with vendors to determine product specifications Work with operations staff to determine production capacity and workloadAssist production staff with first article inspections and testing

 

Qualifications (education and experience requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, and Industrial Technology or equivalent degree/work experience5+ years related experience in high-technology manufacturing, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment or related industry, highly preferredWorking knowledge of quick-turn, engineer-to-order environment, preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):Strong verbal and written communication skillsProject management skillsMachine shop, welding and finishing manufacturing practices, blueprint reading, process planning (Visual, Agile), analytical skillsTechnical drawing and Auto-CAD or 3D modelling (Solidworks, Inventor)Tool design, design for manufacturingAbility to work effectively with operations and other groups to ensure that site delivery and quality issues are metWorking knowledge of MS Office Suite and database software
