Sr. /Plastics Engineer--Medical Device

We have an immediate need for a top-notch Sr./Plastics Engineer. The individual will play a pivotal liaison role between R&D, manufacturing, and internal/external vendors. Primary activities will involve technical assess of processing problems, develop and recommend troubleshooting solutions, and project management coordination on various cross functional teams and projects. Other activities will involve:

 Developing validation protocols on new equipment, products and processes using FDA guidelines. Molding troubleshooting --provide root cause and implements corrective and preventative actions. Work with vendors in the design, quoting, and validation of new production tools.Familar with simulation technologies software Moldflow, etc.

 

The selected individual will likely have the following profile:

 BS/MS Engineering or plastics degree Approximately 5-10 years of injection molding related experience—preferably tight tolerance. Experience in the design and development of molded parts. Technical inclination with good interpersonal skills.Experienced with simulation software Moldflow/Moldex.
