Then you want to work here. Job Responsibilities We may be the best in the world at what we do, but we are not ones to rest on our laurels. Exciting things are afoot in MME, and we are building a new QA team from the ground up to take on our biggest new project. This is 100% backend work, so we are looking for whitebox experts and clever tool developers who know how to test smart and get the maximum test coverage for the least effort. The technical skills we are looking for are perl, Java, Ruby, and C++. As with any big project that operates on Internet time, the pace for this one will be blistering, so we are looking for great team players who know how to role with the punches and react to change and most of all, who will stick to their guns on Quality in the face of pressure from schedules, developers, and elsewhere. Minimum Job Qualifications •Perl, Java (J2EE especially), C++, and/or Ruby •Unix skills (FreeBSD and Red Hat Linux in particular) •knowledge of the Software Quality Assurance discipline (ability to plan a test effort, identify test cases, evaluate coverage, etc.) •Excellent problem solving and analytical skills •Strong organizational and interpersonal skills •Self direction Preferable Job Qualifications •Experience with high availability infrastructural systems •Familiarity with SQL •Familiarity with open source testing tools such as the xUnit frameworks, Framework for Integrated Tests (FIT), TestNG, JMeter, Testlink, and STAF •DBA skills (Oracle and MySQL) •5 years industry experience •BS in Computer Science or equivalent Yahoo!
