You are invited to join a company that celebrates breakthrough thinking and a consistent drive to improve its technology, performance and expertise by applying today.What would you be doing?As our client’s Senior Sourcing Buyer, you would prospect and develop new suppliers for commodities (primarily plastics) to encompass the company’s manufacturing needs. Your responsibilities would include: Serving as principal liaison for the company with component suppliers regarding quality, cost and delivery objectives Ensuring a quality system is in place with each supplier to prevent defects and stabilize processes Purchasing materials in accordance with company policies and government regulations to ensure continuous improvement goals are met regarding price, quality and delivery Maintaining constant communication with suppliers to ensure supplier capabilities are in line with the company’s requirements Leading customer and supplier teams to identify and permanently resolve problems Utilizing statistical data to identify and resolve supplier issues and analyze areas to improve problem prevention and variance reduction Coordinating efforts with engineering personnel to develop suppliers’ capabilities to produce critical components Presenting selected suppliers in management reviews Conducting best practice surveys with suppliers and making recommendations for improvement in quality systems, manufacturing processes, pricing and delivery methodsYour talent belongs here.We’re looking for a polished professional with superlative written and verbal communication skills for an independent role making a big impact on an international company.
