Support design and construction engineering on major transit project including the construction of hard rock and soft ground tunnels and underground structures. Assess ground conditions, design rock/soil support systems for underground structures and open excavations/shafts utilizing knowledge of rail transit facilities and system integration. Develop excavation and construction sequencing. Assess constructability and construction risk. Prepare technical reports and presentations. Produce contract documents including specifications and drawings.

This position requires a Master’s degree in Engineering Geology or related geological engineering field and 5 years of experience in job offered, including experience must include project and design management; advanced level geotechnical engineering and tunnel design for rail transit projects; experience in design and construction of rock and soft ground tunnels. Job located in New York City.
