Key Responsibilities
· MACTEC Federal Programs, Inc. has immediate openings for up to three entry level (0 -2 years experience) Industrial Hygienists.
· Successful candidates will be responsible for monitoring hazardous materials abatement activities (asbestos and lead-based paint) on-site in Washington, DC.
· Work will include collection of ambient air samples, daily on-site analysis of asbestos samples, and detailed inspections of dust control measures.
· Required professional training courses will be provided as needed.
· Additional responsibilities may include performing industrial hygiene surveys, to include noise studies, air sampling, ventilation measurements, radiation surveys, chemical inventories, respiratory fit testing, confined space evaluations and environmental sampling.
Basic/Required Qualifications
· Bachelor of Science in Environmental Safety and Occupational Health (ESOH) or closely related field.
· 0 - 2 years experience in ESOH or closely related field.
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
· Must be able to stand/work for up to 8-hours/day.
· Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment.
· Must be able to work independently.
· Must have excellent technical and communication skills.
· Must pass drug test, background.
