Steel Designer

Independent Steel Designer is looking fot a designer who has experience in steel design drawings and producing steel shop drawings, layouts, takeoffs, and estimates.  Applicant should be familiar with shop fabrication, welding and material specifications, joist, deck, grating, and siding.  Additionally the applicant must be fluent in AutoCAD and have recent experience with hand drawings.  Must be self motivated, be able to work with little direction,  and able to compelte projects independently on a strict time schedule as well as working with a team.  Atmosphere is casual, open and ego-free.  Success in this position relies on accuracy, productivity, presentation skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients. Salary is dependent upon knowledge and experience.
