Strategic Planner & Asst Operations Officer

- Bachelor's degree - Top Secret security clearance- Knowledge of DoD wartime joint strategic planning processes and contingency planning system and the function of Office of Secretary of Defense and Joint Staff policies and processes and National Security Decision Directive process- Knowledge of specialized military operations (crisis response and JCS plans)- Knowledge of joint doctrine and US and Allied military organization, Special Operations doctrine, policy, strategy, and tactics including capabilities and vulnerabilities associated with terrorist threat- Knowledge of and experience with Contingency Planning and Operational Planning process and functional elements of DoD"s Counter Terrorism programs- Knowledge of analytical and evaluative concepts, methods, and techniques, and how to apply such knowledge in reviewing, studying, and measuring status of DoD CBRNE programs and the extent program operations can reduce threat to national security - Ability to plan and execute operational programs in support of SOCOM deployments and mission-oriented objectives relative to reduction of CBRNE threats to national security with emphasis on weapons effects and defensive measures- Skill in using personal computer and Microsoft Office programs: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook Job Description : URS is seeking a Strategic Planner & Assistant Operations Officer in our Lorton, VA office, the selected candidate should have prior military Special Forces experience as well as experience with Washington, DC staff.The DoD Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) provides policy, operational, technical, and exercise management for deploying expert teams to provide CBRNE advice and assistance to Combatant Commanders and US Special Operations Command (SOCOM). Responsibilities:- Conduct program analysis and development for current and emerging programs- Prepare analytical documents, point papers, briefings, and other documents for DTRA Contingency Operations Division- Participate in planning and executing of OSD-directed, JCS, and theater sponsored CBRNE training and exercises by providing input on training and exercise program goals and developing criteria to evaluate force readiness and program successes- Assist operational planning analysis and deployment of joint military and civilian teams tasked to conduct global emergency response to WMD crises- Deploy worldwide for contingency operations on short or non-noticeXURS11X : : EOE M/F/D/V
