Strong Technical Sales position in Heat Treating Industry

Our client, located in the Novi / Milford area is a world leader in the manufacturing of high end thermal processing equipment.They are fully equipped to design, manufacture, ship, install, and service all types of custom and standard heat treat systems.  Some of their product lines include: continuous pushers, vacuum furnaces, conveyor (cast or mesh belt), and controlled atmspheric furnace systems.  These projects range from a $5-$100 million projects.

Our client is looking for Technical Sales Managers with a strong background in a combination of the following: automation, heat treating, paint finishing, pumps/piping, integrated turn-key systems.  One position is to handle International Clients and one position will be for domestic sales:

International Sales positon requirements:  must have capital equipment experience dealing with International clientele, preferably Far East region.  Candidate must be willing to travel and have a valid U.S. passport (25% overnight travel expected).  Experience dealing with Letters of Credit from International Banks, dealing with customs, having the patience for international sales.

Domestic and International position requirments:  5+ years in a sales engineering type of role.  Candidate will be required to perform basic heat processing calculations.  Ability to read plant layout drawings is an absolute must.  Engineering degree strongly preferred (BSME, BSIE).  Candidate must have an intuitive knowledge of sales and how to manage projects, coordinate with various departments, P&L margins, market growth, etc.
